I graduated with BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy in 1995. Following this, I worked in the NHS in Suffolk and then Warwickshire developing my interest and expertise in Neurology and elderly care. I had a change of direction in 2004 by becoming a Clinical Tutor at The University of Birmingham developing the next generation of Physiotherapists.

I successfully completed an MSc in Specialist Neurological Rehabilitation in 2009. In 2012 I returned to a clinical career in Neurology and general elderly care and started my APPI Pilates training. The Pilates fits well with my client group and I have recently started seated classes to target these clients which they are thoroughly enjoying.

As a neurological specialist I take an eclectic approach to my treatment depending upon the clinical presentation of my clients and the evidence base. I use the principles of the Bobath Concept, PNF, Functional Electrical Stimulation, and have recently completed training in the Myofascial release technique.

To relax I have 2 young children who keep me on my toes! We love camping as a family! When I have 5 minutes to myself I enjoy keeping fit and making jewellery.
